The fact it “Destroys each nonland permanent” rather then “Sacrifice each nonland permanent” makes me a bit sad from a Phyrexian lore standpoint.

How would you rather rule your followers?
Loyalty and reverence?
Fear and subjugation?
Would you hold out your hand in guidance or punish those who you deem unfit…

“Born of the core, and dying to stoke it.”
I remembered the importance of a good card-shop when it comes to playing Magic so instead of buying cards from the site I usually go to due to them giving me discounts I decided to pick them up at Toy-wiz.
Granted it costed way more than I could have gotten them for but I figured that they deserve it considering they allowed us to vote for pack combinations during all the pre-releases for New Phyrexia even though Wizards is super frugal when it comes to giving out new product to stores.
Everyone chose 3 New Phyrexia obviously and they agreed to it knowing they would be dangerously low on product until the next shipment. They have a good group of people working there and for that I’m happy to spend some extra money if it means supporting them and the store.
Drafted New Phyrexia today and went undefeated once again. Won myself 13 packs and pulled a ton of mythics. One of which was the Phyrexian Obliterator I had the hunch about. Got home to find a fire-pit and a bunch of people over my house and preceded to play some beer-pong.
Going to sculpt a small scene in some polymer clay with this as my muse. It’s just so grotesque that it yearns to be constructed.
